Help Haiti
Episcopal Relief & Development ("ERD") has disbursed emergency funding for its program partner, the Diocese of Haiti, to help meet immediate needs such as food, water and shelter.

Saturday, September 11: 9:00 a.m.-12 noon
Tuesday September 14: 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, September 15: 6:30 -9:30 p.m.
Friday, September 17: 1:00- 4:00 p.m.
The next session at Trinity for the Safeguarding God’s Children certification will be Sunday, August 29, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
The Episcopal Diocese of Texas requires certification by all individuals in the categories below. In addition to the three-hour class, individuals must authorize the parish to run a background check ($6.00 to be paid by the individual), fill out an application, and read and sign off on the latest policy handbook and code of conduct from the diocese.
All Clergy
• All Paid Church Personnel, whether full or part time, regardless whether they work with children or youth.
• Those who contract their services to the congregation.
• All volunteers serving in staff positions, whether full or part time, regardless whether they work with children or youth
• All volunteers whose work routinely takes them throughout the facility or grounds.
• Anyone with keys to the church.
• All persons who supervise children or assist with children or youth in ministries, programs or activities.
All persons who provide transportation to children or youth without other adults in the vehicle
• Parents who assist more than (6) times per year with a program in church their child is enrolled, including providing transportation.
To register: Go to the diocesan website at www.epicenter.org. Scroll down to the bottom of the home page. Click on "Safe Church Ministries," then "Safeguarding God’s Children." A schedule of all training classes within the Diocese is listed, including those at Trinity. To register for one of these classes, click on the "Registration Form" link. If you do sign up for a class at another church, please let Carol Nyberg know that you have done so.
You may also attend the class on August 29 if you have not registered via the diocesan website. The appropriate forms will be available at the class.
